In a significant move towards modernization, the Thai government has announced plans for all governmental units to fully adopt digital systems by 2026. The announcement follows the inaugural meeting of the National AI Committee, chaired by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra. Deputy government spokeswoman Sasikarn Wattanachan stated that the investment will focus on expanding digital infrastructure and services, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI). The government aims to establish robust AI governance frameworks to ensure responsible deployment across various sectors.
